Public Presentation of the Development Study and Strategic Plan of the Chelsea, Wakefield and Gatineau Park Recreation and Tourism area

In April 2015, The CLD des Collines-de– l’Outaouais, Commerce Chelsea, SADC de Papineau, Wakefield La Pêche Chambre, Tourisme Outaouais, the Municipality of Chelsea, the Municipality of La Pêche along with the Gatineau Park mandated the firm Zins Beauchesne and associates to conduct a study and strategic planning for tourism and recreation for the tourism pole: Chelsea, Wakefield and Gatineau Park. It also brings new avenues for development in the recreation and tourism industry in the region.

Partners are now ready to present those results and request the participation of actors working in the recreation and tourism industry in the region.

The public presentation of this study will be held on May 11 at 10 am at Centre Wakefield La Pêche (38 ch Valley Wakefield). Everyone is welcome to assist to the presentation.

As a result, a public consultation process will be announced shortly with regard to get residents’ opinion and comments with the objective of implementing an action plan.

Café Commerce

The Wakefield – La Pêche Chamber invites you to join us on the second Wednesday morning of every month for “Café Commerce”!

Members and non-members are welcome. The event will be held in the Heron Room at the Wakefield Mill from 8:00 am to 9:30 am – no reservation required, please drop in and catch up with your business colleagues from the Wakefield –  La Pêche region.

The cost is $10 per person and includes coffee/tea, muffins/pastries and a fruit platter. An RSVP is appreciated!
